MCA Coach Finder — proposed next iteration

The Mindful Coach Association

Tell us what’s going on, and we’ll tell you who to talk to

Two questions, answered in your own words. Takes about a minute, and there is nothing to sign up for.

Coach finderTwo short questions

Plain words are fine. A sentence or two is plenty.

Their style, background or experience, how you’d meet, anything that matters to you. Leave it blank if nothing comes to mind.

Your three coaches appear below.

Note for build: both questions are on screen from first paint, with one Send. No turn-by-turn chat, no hidden second step. The visitor can see the whole ask before deciding to start. Q2 is optional and submits empty.

Your three coaches appear here

Answer the two questions above and we’ll read them against every member profile, then show you three people worth writing to — with the reason each one came up.

Note for build: these three tiles are on the page before the visitor types anything, in the dashed empty state shown at load. That is the point of the change — the answer’s shape is visible up front, so nobody has to guess what happens after Send. Filled tiles carry photo, name, location, the coach’s own tagline, and the match reason returned by the API. The email question appears only once tiles are populated, and sits below them so it reads as the next step rather than a gate.

What happens

No directory to wade through and no filters to guess at.

1

You answer two questions

What brought you here, and what you’d want in the person you talk to. Plain words are fine, and short answers are fine too.

2

We read the profiles against your answers

What each coach specialises in, how they trained, the people they tend to work with. That is what gets matched, rather than a set of filters you would have to guess at.

3

You get three names, and you decide

Three coaches who line up, described in their own words, each with a link to their profile and the reason they came up. Write to whichever one appeals, or to none of them.

Mindful Coach Association member badge

When you see the MCA badge, you know you are working with a professional who has affirmed alignment with the association’s principles and practices.

Best interest of the client

Members act with the client’s best interests in mind, including prioritising the client’s well-being over business considerations. When another specialist would better serve a client’s needs, a member willingly makes that referral.

Client autonomy

Members acknowledge and respect the autonomy of their clients. Clients are supported in being at choice in all matters, including any practices suggested by the coach or in continuing work with the coach. Read all of the principles

Coaching is not therapy or clinical care. If you are in crisis or looking for treatment for a clinical condition, a licensed therapist or your doctor is the right place to start — in the US you can call or text 988, and elsewhere your local emergency number.

You can also browse the full directory yourself, or read how to choose a life coach first.

You’re profile needs a few more details before we can publish it in the directory:
